Last weekend Mary and I traveled to New York City for our bi-annual trip to the NY gift show. We spent the day Sunday enjoying the city. In the morning we took the ferry to the Brooklyn Flea market, and in the afternoon we got blow outs at the Dry Bar. That evening we explored the High Line and enjoyed a drink at a Bier Garten in the meat packing district and dinner at schillers. we ended the night at a speak easy where patrick knew the password to enter, how fun!
On Monday we continued our tradition of eating breakfast at Bubby’s in TriBeCa, indulging in cheesy grits and cold pressed juice. We made our way to the gift show after breakfast, searching for new brands, and spending time with some our favorite vendors. We ran into Mary’s longtime friend Jane Seifert Curly of Lester Harrys in Boston, who was at the Barefoot Dreams booth.
Ive noticed that spending time in the city always makes me appreciate my home in Columbus. I leave New York feeling inspired, tired, and so happy that I get to spend my days in central Ohio. Nothing beats backyard grilling and wide open spaces. Plus we have plenty of creative and inspiring neighbors to boot.
